PIERRE – The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Governor Kristi Noem’s Office of Economic Development, hold this annual contest to foster and reward the entrepreneurial spirit of South Dakotans who compete for prizes to help launch their business idea.
To be considered for this year’s business competition, applications must be submitted by midnight, Friday, February 25, 2022. The deadline to apply for the 2022 student competition is midnight, Friday, March 4. South Dakota residents with a new business idea are encouraged to enter the Giant Vision Business contest for a chance to win up to $20,000. Students from South Dakota colleges, universities and technical schools compete for the top prize of $5,000.
Giant Vision is open to anyone in South Dakota with new ideas that they think would benefit from the competition’s review and analysis process while vying for funds to help get them started. In addition to cash prizes, the competition will bring together people with new business ideas as well as judges and other guests who have experience in business development and those with the ability to make venture capital investments.

The final competition of the event is scheduled for Thursday, April 14 in Sioux Falls. Applicants selected as finalists will be invited to participate.
