Pennsylvania residents have the option of claiming a cash payment of up to $ 975 before the New Year.
The money is available through the Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Reduction Program only.
By law, the deadline for each year is June 30, but in October it was announced that eligible people would have until December 31 as funds are still available.

Who is eligible and how do they apply?
Pennsylvania residents 65 and over, widows 50 and over, or people with disabilities 18 and over are all eligible for the discounts.
Homeowners cannot earn more than $ 35,000 per year and renters cannot earn more than $ 15,000 per year.
Half of social security income is excluded.
The maximum a person can get is $ 650 per household, depending on income.
Additional discounts for qualifying homeowners can be as high as $ 975.

If you are filing online, you can choose direct deposit and get help filing the refund.
