All arrangements have been put in place at 5,122 post offices across the state for cash payment to Prime Minister Kisan Yojana’s beneficiaries. The amount will be disbursed via micro-automates free of charge.
According to a statement issued here on Thursday by the Postal Department, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued 12 e Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi installment on October 17 worth ₹16,000 crore via direct transfer of DBT benefits) to bank accounts of more than 8 crore farmers for the 2022-23 Yasangi (Rabi) season.
In this regard, the Post Department has made special arrangements to help farmers in PM Kisan to withdraw money from their bank accounts at their doorsteps free of charge. 5,362 micro-machines were put into service and 4,573 postmasters received enough cash to make payments in the villages. Micro ATM services can be used by farmers with bank accounts linked to Aadhaar who are unable to visit a bank branch or fixed ATM for withdrawals. To use Micro ATM, the farmer can go to the nearest post office with his Aadhar card and mobile, linked to any bank account, and withdraw cash by printing fingerprints and informing the postmaster received on his registered mobile number.
